Introduction to Business and Technology

The students will plan and implement a relief effort through their business that will help the recovery effort after Hurricane Harvey.

The groups will gather information and research including written reports showing what lead them to their plan.

Purpose:  Today we will begin the partnership by putting together a project where the brand's team and the artist's team work together to help the humanitarian effort in Houston. You will put a plan together to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Procedure:

Research

1.     Day one: You and your group will research some of the ways you can help and determine what you and your partners will do.  You will give some examples of how companies and/or celebrities are or have helped in the past. (examples include matched donations, hands on rebuilding in affected community) Make a relief effort selection. Create a written report on the research and selection.

     2.    Day 2 and 3: Establish a plan create a written report of who, what, when, where and why. 

     3.     Day 4: Organize and create a presentation for the executive team. You will create a PowerPoint to present your detailed plan. Research the detailed process you will use to accomplish your goal. Make sure the detail is part of the presentation.
