Introduction To Business

This week the students will learn how to make quality business decisions and They will learn the importance of the marketing mix.

Plans for the week ahead:

Monday   

Opening: The students will read and write a one paragraph reflection on the article from entrepreneur magazine.

Work Session:

1.   Article Reflection

2.      Marketing Discussion: We will discuss the market mix and the decision making process.

3.       The students will begin the block buster project. They will be making decisions for block buster and through research and use of the steps in the decision making process. Their job will be to save blockbuster. They will write a business letter to the board about the problems they see. They will create a presentation taking the board through their decision making process and the possible solutions.

4.       They will choose a solution and outline a plan for implementing the solution. (In the presentation)

5.       Closing: We will discuss the project and make sure we are all on the same page

Tuesday:

Opening: The students will read and write a one paragraph reflection on the article from entrepreneur magazine.

Work Session:

1.       Article reflection

2.       The students will create a Facebook post using Canva.  The them will be terrific Tuesday.

3.       The students will add two features to their app creation documents.

4.       The students will work on Block Buster Project.

Closing: The students will answer ticket out the door question.

Wednesday:

Opening: The students will read and write a one paragraph reflection on the article from entrepreneur magazine.

1.        Article reflection

2.       The students will create a Instagram post using Canva. The them will be winning Wednesday.

3.       The students will spend 15 minutes of creative time working on Web Sites.

4.       The Students will work on Block Buster Project

Closing: Give an example of one company besides blockbuster who could have changed their outcome (success or failure) with a different decision.

Thursday:

Opening: The students  will read and write a one paragraph reflection on the article above.

1.       Article Reflection

2.       The students will create a Twitter post using Canva the Theme will be Throwback Thursday.

3.        The Students will work in mastermind groups to discuss the marketing mix and why its important. 15 minutes.

4.       The students will work on Blockbuster Projects.

Closing: The students will complete one slide explaining the Marketing Mix.

Friday:

Opening: The students will read and write a one paragraph reflection on the article above.

1.       Article Reflection

2.       Students will create a Facebook Post using Canva. The Theme will be Fun Friday.

3.       The Students will Create Title Page for Business Plan Presentation and First 3 slides.

4.       The students will work on BlockBuster Projects.

Closing: Class Discussion:   Business Letter will be completed on Monday.  The presentations will be completed  Tuesday and Wednesday.

Introduction to Business

The students were able to complete their location presentations. They will present these presentations this week. The students will also begin work on the industry analysis. They will begin to research the market and have educated strategy explanations. Have a good week lets make it happen.

The students will present the case for a possible business location to their teams.  They will also meet with the mastermind team to gain valuable ideas on driving traffic to their businesses.  They will continue building social media marketing skills and spend some creative time working on business websites.

The Students will research and choose the location of the business this week. They will find out about being licensed and permitted in the area of operation.  The students will calculate the cost and prepare a presentation for the team explaining the benefits of choosing this location. They will also shortly touch on possible negative and how they will work to minimize those. Each business will be presented with unique challenges these challenges will be laid out in the presentations.

Intro to Business

The students will be introduced to mobile app development this week. They will also learn the process they will need to follow to get licensing and insurance for their individual business. Each student will find and explain where and why they have chosen a certain physical location for their businesses. Looking forward to an outstanding week ahead.

This week the students will decide on business ideas and turn them into innovative mobile App Ideas that will benefit a large portion of society. Let's make it happen today.

 

Intro to Business

The students will complete business plan. The last component being the executive summary. The students will also receive a checklist and we will make sure we have completed all elements as we move towards the end of the semester.

This week we will work on the students marketing their businesses and putting together their financials. This will help them project the success of the business early on.  The students will work on websites, social media app creation and the business plan.

This week we will continue with our Business Plan.  We will complete our Industry Analysis. This will help the students learn to evaluate where the opportunities are in their Industry. They will also be able to determine if this is a growing industry or is it an industry that's dying. This helps Entrepreneurs make intelligent decisions about future investment of time and money.

The students will work on their daily business activities. The will market using social media,  blog, develop their mobile apps. This week the will also learn how to create a SWOT analysis for their businesses. They will create an organizational structure; as well as develop the job description for their future employees.

This week we will begin the week working on a location and facility for our businesses. We will also work on our organizational structure later in the week. We will end the week with our first unit exam.We will then exit to Winter Break.
