Introduction to Business

Hello all

We are currently moving towards launching our businesses.  We have been working on building our e-commerce web sites.  We are working on all areas of creating a business throughout the semester.
We will be creating a business plan, a marketing plan, We will host a Young Entrepreneurs expo at the end of the semesters where students will have an opportunity to pitch their businesses, some to real investors. This is a exciting opportunity!

Welcome Back! We are ready to enjoy the 2015-16 school year!

We will begin the year in  our communication unit.  The link to our online text is located through the following link.  online textbooks

Monday-we began working on mastery of our Professional communication standard.  We are beginning with introductions and two communication activities.

Tuesday- we talked about the use of communication in the workplace. We then begin a short introductory project. This will help us learn more about each other and where our skill level is in terms of this course.

Wednesday- Wednesday we will begin with a Journal question.  That question is  "Why is social media and a digital presence important to a business? Give me two tips of how we can use it in a business. 
We will then work on our introductory project. We will finish our day talking about the students vision for the future.

Today students completed the SWOT Analysis portion of their Business Plans.  The students will continue the marketing portions of the Business Plans and we will conduct an industry analysis to finish out our week.
