The End of the semester is here and we will be working on the end of year presentations. This is our
final project. We will also be working on final exam review. The Break is near "Let's finish strong"!!!

The Business launch is upcoming. The students are preparing to pitch their businesses on December 14th and 15th.

Intro to Business

The students will be exploring careers and building a relationship between those careers and entrepreneurship.  This will lead to their final project for the semester.

This week we will have a speaker Monday.  We will complete the technology research project throughout the week.

This week the students will begin working in the business and technology unit. We will concentrate on digital citizenship

 and the evolution of technology.

The students will complete the leadership and management section and move to the  Business and technology section. The students are continuing to build and market their businesses.

This week we will complete our 6 business functions and 7 skills project. We will also 7 review smart goals and complete a replica of our mobile applications.

This week we will begin learning about leadership and management our first task will be to learn the different leadership styles and skills.

This week will be all about leadership styles.

The students will complete the planning and presentation of event plan for Hurricane Harvey/ Irma.
Teamwork is the current standard that we are focused on, the groups will be responsible for completing roles to vital to the event.

This week we will continue working on our business plans. We will add to our web sites and work on our partnerships as we plan our community service project for Hurricane Harvey or Irma.

Introduction to Business and Technology

The students will plan and implement a relief effort through their business that will help the recovery effort after Hurricane Harvey.

The groups will gather information and research including written reports showing what lead them to their plan.

Purpose:  Today we will begin the partnership by putting together a project where the brand's team and the artist's team work together to help the humanitarian effort in Houston. You will put a plan together to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Procedure:

Research

1.     Day one: You and your group will research some of the ways you can help and determine what you and your partners will do.  You will give some examples of how companies and/or celebrities are or have helped in the past. (examples include matched donations, hands on rebuilding in affected community) Make a relief effort selection. Create a written report on the research and selection.

     2.    Day 2 and 3: Establish a plan create a written report of who, what, when, where and why. 

     3.     Day 4: Organize and create a presentation for the executive team. You will create a PowerPoint to present your detailed plan. Research the detailed process you will use to accomplish your goal. Make sure the detail is part of the presentation.

    

    

Introduction to business

The students will explore the different forms of business. They will begin putting together both a business plan and a marketing plan for their businesses.  The student will use three social platforms to post to daily. They will begin to understand how to use social to grow the business.

Introduction to Business and Technology

The students will begin putting together their Business Plans and add social media marketing campaigns to grow the companies.  This semester long project will give students simulations of real life situations and task that must be dealt with in business.

Intro to Business

Students will review and prepare for finals as well as continue with feature teacher and work on teaching success principles.   Remember that success is not about how smart you are it is about consistent effort.  Greatness is about how much work you put in, so put in the work!

Leadership is built on why you are trying to accomplish your task not how. If you have your why you will figure out how!

This week we will review and concentrate on leadership and success principles!

This week will begin review concepts and be preparing for our exams to end the year.  The students have done an outstanding job working outside of their comfort zones this semester.

This week we will prepare for Thursday's Young Entrepreneurs Expo.  I look forward to the kids doing a tremendous job competing look forward to seeing everyone there.

Today we will put our students through shark tank like pitch presentations. This will be the process for the next couple of weeks as we move towards the expo. IT's show time!

This week we will work on the Completion of our business plans and begin the evaluation process.  We will complete the Executive summary and Financial portions of the plan.

The students will complete the staffing and financial portion of the business plan, the students will also complete the March Madness Challenge and create a marketing campaign to promote their business during march madness.

Week of 3/6-3/10

The students will complete the both the Black American history and Hispanic American history projects.  They will work on the staffing portion of the business plan.  They will also work on creating three different buyer personas for their businesses. Work Ethic!

Students will continue working on the business plan.  They will also work on the website and app.  We will have a vocab quiz as well as web site and app check by the end of the week.

Students will continue building businesses. We will learn about marketing through social media,  we will talk about the build measure learn - pivot phases of your business.  We will work on the next section of the business plan and work and evaluate our web sites and apps.

This week the students will continue work in our leadership and management unit. They will present their  7 habits project and continue work on there business web sites and mobile apps.

This week we will work on the & habits of highly effective people, begin our website and mobile app. This will be an outstanding week: We will use weebly for our website and snappyappie for the mobile app.

This week we will begin our business plan and we will also begin working in the Leadership and management unit.  We will work on both our business description and our Vision and Mission Statements. We are looking forward to a great week.
